Convert Existing Courier to Dovecot
cPanel version 11.24 includes Dovecot integration.
Dovecot is a lightweight, fast alternative to Courier IMAP. It may be ideal for low-memory VPSes, or with VPSes supporting a high-number of IMAP connections.

Command line conversion:
1. Login to your VPS as root using SSH.
2 Run this command:
/scripts/setupmailserver dovecot
The conversion should run in the background. You can watch the progress by running this command:
tail -f /var/cpanel/logs/setupmailserver
Conversion using the GUI/WHM Interface
1. Login to Web Host Manager
2. Select Service Configuration -> Mailserver Selection
3. Select Dovecot and click Save at the bottom.
