How to Fix the "Invalid License File" Error

You may have changed the hostname on your VPS or upgraded Cpanel, and now you get this error when attempting to use WHM or cPanel:

"Invalid License File"

That's because your Cpanel license is tied to the hostname on your server. Be careful if you change the hostname.

To fix this, login via SSH and run the following command:

That will update the license file with the new hostname.
